Cottonseed Meal

Cottonseed meal is a reddish or yellowish granular material obtained by pressing cottonseeds and then using an extraction process to separate most of the remaining oil. It is a major raw material for feed production, containing over 40% crude protein. Feed-grade cottonseed meal is an important ingredient in animal feed for livestock (such as pigs, cattle, sheep, and chickens) and aquaculture (such as fish and shrimp). In livestock feed, it can serve as a protein source, replacing some higher-priced protein sources like soybean meal to reduce feed costs.
